The original Victorian fireplace has been retained and the alcoves are illuminated by gold fan shaped wall-lamps, giving a sense of warmth to the room. Further light comes from two Italian mid-century glass table lamps to the side of the fireplace.
The cushions, which feature an interpretation of patterns found in traditional kelims, sit on two dark-blue velvet mid-century Italian chairs.
An almost spherical Capellini stone Carrara marble table provides a focal point around which the colours and patterns featured in this room are anchored.
